NSPCC - BIG BIKE RIDE - Sussex BIG BIKE RIDE

Welcome to the Sussex BIG BIKE RIDE, one of our big new rides taking place this summer.

Head off from the grounds of Christ's Hospital school in Horsham along one of our three different length routes through the delightful West Sussex countryside.

There will also be food and drink and lots of helpful bike stuff so it's set to be a great day out for family and friends with something for all ages and abilities.

	Registration Opens from 09:00am.
	Location Christ's Hospital school, Horsham, West Sussex.
	Green Route Start time – 10:30am
	Purple Route Start time – 10:40am
	Orange Route Start time – 10:50am
	Facilities Toilets, cloakroom, car parking, refreshments, bike surgery, first aid.

	Get Fit! Get fit training programme.
	Registration £10 for adults and over 12’s. Under 12’s go free. Once you register you will receive a full event pack, sponsorship, plus a BIG BIKE RIDE t-shirt, spokey dokey's and a medal on the day.
	Sponsorship Help us reach our target of £75,000, spread the word to friends and family. Set yourself a fundraising goal, we'd like to ask you to consider raising £100 or more per adult. The young ones could also set themselves an appropriate fundraising goal. Remember however much you raise you'll be making a difference.
	Parking Car parking is available at the school.
	Trains FREE shuttle bus from the front of Horsham station Times: 08:45am, 09:15am, 09:45am. Please contact the rail company directly for policies on bike travel.

The routes

Green Route - 15km (9.3 miles) via Southwater
This is a great route for all the family and follows the Downs Link Way as it heads south along the old railway line. At Copsale head onto country lanes and then through the beautiful Sedgwick Park, before returning to the lanes and back onto the Downs Link to the finish.

Purple Route – 30km (18.7 miles) via Southwater, Copsale, West Grinstead Station and Partridge Green
Following the same route as the 15km ride, from Copsale we continue south to Partridge Green then onto quiet country lanes before returning to the Downs Link.

Orange Route – 65km (40.6 miles) via Southwater, Copsale, West Grinstead Station, Partridge Green, Henfield, Steyning and Annington Hill
Looking for a challenge? From Partridge Green follow the flat route south of Steyning and then a long climb up onto the Downs, before steadily dropping back down to the town and back along the old rail track. This is the toughest of the routes and not recommended for under 16's.
